Color: Buckskin Roan
Price: $4,500
Take a look at this eye-catching filly by KT Gunners Sage Bug and out of KT Major Sunshine — a cross packed with color, cow sense, and foundation breeding.
Her sire, KT Gunners Sage Bug, is out of Continental Lady Bug and by KT Gunpowder N Lead. “Gunner” is a striking roan dunskin son of Cue Bars Laddie, an AQHA point-earning and producing stallion. Gunner’s dam, Pistol, has been shown with the NFQHA, featured in the NFQHA rule book and magazine, and is the kind of ranch and rope horse the whole family can ride. Pistol is by Gold Country Charro, a dunskin stallion shown successfully in halter in 1998 and 1999.
Continental Lady Bug adds even more depth — a big-boned Continental Cad daughter tracing back to Mr Blackburn on the bottom side, bringing size, substance, and foundation strength.
On the dam side, this filly is out of KT Major Sunshine, a beautiful palomino mare with both eye appeal and pedigree power. “Shiny” is by Zinks Major Kid and out of Kathys Sonny Dee To (a Sonny Dee Bar Too daughter). Anna chose Shiny to keep when she was just a toddler — and the fact that we still have her says everything. She was featured on the cover of the AQHA Journal and has been shown in-hand trail at the NFQHA show in Ellensburg. Shiny is a barn favorite with an exceptional disposition that the kids absolutely adore.
This filly carries an incredible pedigree including Sonny Dee Bar Too, Major Bonanza, Lads Image, Blondys Dude, and more — blending foundation blood with proven show and ranch versatility.
If you’re looking for color, bone, brains, and a pedigree stacked with proven producers, this filly checks all the boxes.

Finally Friday… Time to Gear Up

Most folks are slowing down for the weekend…
but around here, we’re just getting started.

Friday means it’s time to pick up the pace—
more cattle to check, more horses to work,
and a to-do list that somehow doubled overnight.

The horses are fresh, the cows are testing fences,
and everyone’s acting like they’ve got weekend plans of their own.

No punching out early here—
just tightening cinches, filling fuel tanks,
and getting ready for a couple full days of doing what we do.

Because on this ranch…
the weekend isn’t for resting—it’s for getting after it.

Thursday Thoughts from the Ranch

Thursdays around here are that funny in-between day…
Not quite the start of the week, not quite the weekend either.

The cows don’t care what day it is—
they still need checked.
The horses are still waiting at the gate like they haven’t been fed in years.
And somehow, the to-do list keeps growing faster than we can cross things off.

We might be a little tired, a little dusty, and running on coffee and stubbornness…
but we wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Because out here, even the long days come with good views, good stock, and a whole lot of gratitude.

Just another Thursday doing what we love.

Working Dog Wednesday: Meet Patch

Not to be confused with last week’s feature—this is Doodle the Poodle’s brother, Patch.

Half mini poodle, half Idaho Shagg… and fully convinced he runs the place.

His daily duties include:
• Professional couch cuddling
• Sitting directly in my lap like he pays the bills
• “Helping” feed horses and cows 🐴
• Riding shotgun in the pickup and biting trees
• Firmly believing he’s an elite cowdog

We’re still waiting on proof… but the confidence is unmatched.

✨ Two-Year-Old Tuesday: KT Watch Miss Zella ✨

Some horses you sell… and some you just can’t.

KT Watch Miss Zella is one of the two-year-olds we’re keeping — and it’s easy to see why.

This fancy buckskin filly checks all the boxes: looks, pedigree, and a disposition that makes you want to spend time with her every day.

Sired by KT Heza Pana Dude, a standout son of Zinks Major Kid, Zella comes from a stallion we’re proud to have raised and kept. “Dude” is known for producing size, trainability, and great minds — the kind that make good horses into great ones. Started by Jordan Crabtree, he proved early on to be smart, willing, and enjoyable to ride.

On the bottom side, Zella is out of Watch Miss ID (“Twiggy”), a daughter of ID Watch (ROM earner) with deep, proven bloodlines including Two Eyed Jack, Watch Joe Jack, Mr. Baron Red, and Do Jack. Twiggy is a ranch favorite — friendly, consistent, and known for producing eye-catching, personable foals that visitors fall in love with.

And Zella? She’s carrying on that tradition perfectly.

She’s got the look, the pedigree, and the kind of presence that says she’s going to be something special.
