Sold Horses

There are also lots of pictures of our sold horses on our Facebook page.

Hey there,

Hope the ranch is humming along and foaling season comes in nice and easy. I just wanted to let you guys know how completely over the moon I am with Rudy (Ninja). We haul a few times a week and he just takes everything in stride. He already has a little pod of groupies at the local arena who cuddles on him and fawns all over him. I’m taking him to an in-hand show this weekend. Everyone who meets him comments on his terrific personality and how incredibly smart he is. Just a quick example for you: I have to tetris the three of them into a 2-horse slant to go to the farrier which puts two in backwards. Rudy loads in the last slot, the wrong direction, where he steps the front end in and side-passes his hind up and in. Doesn’t bat an eye. The farrier and the crew at his place all came out to watch.

I look forward to updating you all with his accomplishments as he grows up because I have no doubt there will be a lot of them. Thank you for getting that pair together so I could get this phenomenal horse.  Attached are a few photos. Oh, and we’re leaving his ear as it. We decided people would be better able to recognize which bay beat them in his show career. 😉

Thanks again and take care,

Kelley – Kelly has Annie x Dude 2022 colt.

Hello KT Ranch!

Just wanted to share an update with you!  Today we celebrate the 2nd year birthday of Leroy x Ro’s 2021 Filly!

I finally got around to sending in her registration paperwork – we ended up landing on the name KT Dolls Gotta Gun. Her barn name is Phoebe, or Pheebs.

Everyone at the barn adores her friendly personality. She always greets us at the gate. She is smart and willing, and I am gently beginning to start her. She’s going to be a nice horse.  I am so excited for her future – I have big hopes for her to be a great all around horse.

Big thanks and gratitude to the KT Ranch family for bringing such an awesome filly into my life. Her and my 14 year old paint are the best of friends. I feel so lucky! – Sarah from TX

“Hi Guys, greetings from Mike Meinert and Gunnie from Covington. Hope you are doing well and good luck on foaling and calving right around the corner. Gunnie just went to a trainer in Enumclaw and I’m super excited. She is a Big Beautiful Beast and still has that pretty head. Please know how happy with and proud of her I am !! She will be 2 end of this month, she’s 15.1 and almost 1,100 pounds and such a smooth mover. If the attached video doesn’t work, please give me a cell number I can MSG it to. Thanks again, Mike.” March 2, 2022

Below is Ginger, Ginger is by KT Heza Pana Dude and is out of a Double daughter.

Happy New Year!  Just wanted to update you!
Little gal is doing spectacular, I love her oh so much!  I call her Phoebe now, or Pheebs, or Bebe.
She’s in with mine and my pals paint mares and everyone is friends. My mare, Sadie, follows her around to keep an eye on her. It’s very sweet.
We’re doing some very basic groundwork and she is so smart. Stood amazing for my trimmer, and did great when the vet came out to do shots and meet her.
Folks here at my barn love her – she’s super friendly and loves to visit at the fence.
Thanks for breeding such a great little filly. ” – Sarah

Sarah has a 2021 filly be Leroy and out of Ro.

“Gage is so smart. Gonna be so easy to start. I’m so excited. I was working my minis and he was following me around. So I harness him up too. He just stood there.” – Kendra

Thanks for the update in 2021 Shanan on Fly Guy (Jack) and Splinter, Splinter is by Dude and out of Twiggy. Fly Guy is by Leroy and out of Lona.

“Just an updated pic of the boys! Every few days they stand tied for about an hour before turn out. Jack falls asleep and Splinter tries to figure out the knot 🙂 They’re both a bit chubby, taking full advantage of the pasture while its green and we’re moving them to full alfalfa this fall because of the hay shortages.
Hope you guys are doing well!  Nice looking steers on your blog!”

July 2021: “Update: He is a dream to work with. He loves attention and all the action with Grandkids, barking hound dog, and goats running around, Loads in the trailer easily. Kind of hot this summer hope all yours are doing OK. Love your posts as always.
Karen & John”

Karen and John have Double Aught, a 2020 colt by Gunner and out of Ellie.

“Hi Kelli and Toni
I was wondering if you were going to do 2022 calendars?
If so, I would be interested in another one.
Hero is doing well.  Just got him “cut” a little over a week ago.  So far, he is everything I was hoping he would be.  Such a sweet, sweet boy!
Even as a stud colt the worst I could say about him is he was ALWAYS in my space and couldn’t keep his nose/lips to himself!  Lol.  Not a mean bone in his body.
Did you sell his full brother?
Hope all is well with you all & take good care “-Teresa

Teresa has a 2020 colt by KT Heza Pana Dude and out of Dunny, this update was July, 2021.

Youth Development foal, donated in 2020. This is May 2021. “Hello KT Ranch, I hope that you are all doing well. I made a little video to update you guys on how I am doing with Teddy and what I have been working on with him in the months since I received him.  He is such a cool little guy and suits his name really well because he often acts like a big teddy bear. Thank you so much for donating him and giving me the opportunity to work with such an incredible young horse.”

“Gunnie at 14 months this week, She is an amazing filly !! I hope her pic comes through.”- Mike

This update is from May 24th, 2021. Gunnie is out of Lura and by Gunner.

“She is the best young horse I have ever experienced, and I wish I could clone 3 more of her! My horses is named ember now. I have had her since she was 2 years old. I bought her at the Lewiston live stock auction cow sale. She came home I fed her for a year and have done all her training my self. Last year I started her on barrels and we recently have been running in the novice 2/d at local races and the 4-d in the open and she just is 5.”

She is really a nice all around horse, goat tying, ranch horse, roping, you name it and she does it. Annie is a 2012 mare.

“We FINALLY finished our arena and got footing in. So of course Coco needed to have a photo shoot in there 😋 I’d say she’s been eating her wheaties 💪 although I think she would love a second career as a horse model lol she stood still the whole time.”

These pictures are from May 25, 2015, “Coco” is a 2015 filly out of Lona and by Dude.

“Hi Kellie and Toni- I wanted to send you a picture of all three beautiful palomino sisters with my three girls on them.  Emma just started the third one in June that I got from the lady who bought Sunflower’s mom.  It’s hard to believe that Sunflower is 4!  She is a very good girl and the one I like to ride.  Tiger Lily has a bit more energy and Marigold the youngest is still learning.  We love them all and were sad to see their dad had to be put down.  It’s a wonderful line!  Thank you so much for them!”

Wanted to give a quick shout out to KT Ranch. Here is my 2yo KT Storm Warning (Maverick). This past year I had to send him out to be broke while I had my baby boy & had surgery for malignant melanoma. I just got him back, started back riding myself & we just did our 1st paperchase. He led over bridges, by scary boulders & loped across a field on a loose rein. I couldn’t be more happy with this guy. Thank you 1000x over KT Ranch for an awesome animal! -Leigh, October 2015

UPDATE 2/21/16:Just wanted to give you a quick update on Susan… She will be 4 this June and I haven’t given her a ton on my time since my Fire On Bug mare is 6 and coming on strong. BUT J my mare threw a shoe and we had a local play day here in town so I thought what the heck. Sue hasn’t been rode in a little over a month and probably has about 30 days on her altogether but she walk trots and canters fine. She went in there with 50 some people and horses… two quads with drags….a john deere and a black widow…. And cantered through every single event with no problems. There was music over the speakers… kids running around…. And I haven’t showed her any events because I wanted to put a solid foundation on her first. Can’t tell you how happy I am with her; she is smart and talented with personality to boot.  Thanks again!!

Dear Kellie and Toni-
We cannot express how thankful we are for our 2 palomino girls. We are just having the best time with them. Sunflower is a new woman since sister came to the farm. They fly around the field with great enthusiasm and mirror each other’s moves so well that they could do some kind of synchronized dancing, but of course it would be more like synchronized bucking and leaping and flying about. Emma has been doing ground work with both and they are very quick to learn and doing well.Thank you again. Here are a couple pictures.Leslie and EmmaThe fillies are full sisters, one is a 2012 filly and the other is a 2013 filly.
They are by City Smarts and out of Minx.

Just thought I’d send you a couple pictures.  I LOVE THIS HORSE!

I am so happy with her personality.  She never does anything mean or aggressive towards me like my last young one did.  Actually she is quite the snuggler now.  Also a treat hound.  I hope to be riding her by spring & I will send you a few more pictures.  🙂  I figured since I like to see what my old horse is up to, that you might like it too.  Talk to you soon! This is her first ride.

Butterscotch is a 2010 filly by Just Plain Starlight and out of Buttercup.

Absolutely loving my ’09 gelding by Zink out of Lona. I thought I would send you updated pics of Patrick. This year he took reserve grand champion in halter at the St. John Open Show! He also placed third in showmanship and first in in-hand trail. He just keeps getting better and better. He is athletic, smart, willing and so enjoyable. Thanks KT Ranch for the horse of my dreams!

“We have one of your 2010 colts by Just Plain Starlight and out of Cowgirls Reflection, Late Night Cowboy. When we purchased him at the Hermiston horse sale, he was very skittish. The previous owner had him 5 days and put 5 rides on him (probably was very rough on him) we kept ‘Cowboy’ in the roundpen so we could have daily contact with him and after a couple weeks of riding 4 days a week, we had him riding out in the arena. Very easy to train and handle. Will come running to you in our 3 acre pasture and follow you around like a puppy dog. He isn’t afraid of tractors or other animals. He even chased my boyfriend on the tractor while he was mowing the pasture and was biting at the brushhog rear tire. Haven’t measured him yet but we are guessing he is about 14.3 at the withers but taller in the hind so we are hoping he will have some decent height to him. We have him doing walk, trot, lope, picking up proper leads, opening and closing gates, can use almost strictly leg cues on him already and tracking left and right. Next year, I will be hauling him to barrel meets at the fairgrounds to get him experience out and about. He is very level headed and doesn’t get upset easily. We even have him ponying our mares and tracking them like cattle. He isn’t afraid to get right up on them either. He is already very balanced for his age and comfortable to ride :-)Here are some pictures of me training him if you would like to put him on your website 🙂 he will be my barrel and pole horse as well as my boyfriend’s mountain and cow horse. Will also be our trail horse.”Thanks
Kara and Elmer (owners of Late Night Cowboy in Finley, Wa)

This is an 2010 colt by Just Plain Starlight and out of KT Copper Doc Comet. “With five days of training under his belt Rusty is doing great. Of the three colts we just started Rusty is Roley’s favorite.” This colt is at Western Pleasure Ranch in Idaho.

“This is the 2010 baby out of Just Plain Starlight and Blue Eyed Reflection!!
I have just started to ride her and she is doing amazing and by far the best horse that
I have had I cant wait to show her! Im so glad that I picked her out of all the ones that we looked at that day!!!”Thank you sooo much
Enumclaw, wa

Zinks Amadeus Kid (Remington)-“He is just a trail horse but an awesome one at that! I have had him on cows a couple of times and he likes it. He has a great home where he is loved and well taken care of. My friend bought him from you as a weanling and I remember that and then he went to a friend of hers. That friend had to move overseas so she got him back and then I got him!!! One of the BEST horse decisions I have ever made!” – Lori

KT Double the Dun. She is really wonderful and soft in the snaffle. She is a very willing girl and LOVES to ride! She’s a terrain-eating monster on the trails! We just love her to pieces. We were at a Buck Brannaman clinic and she is did awesome. Took her to this clinic last year with about 10 rides on her, she did super. She is a very willing horse and a hard worker. :)” – Teresa she has the 2008 filly by Double and out of Reed Dunny Doll. In this updated pic they are trail riding in the Blues ouside of Dayton. Teresa and Wrigley are also in a dun riding group.

“I can’t say enough good things about this colt he truelly a pleasure to be around and work with no matter what we are doing for the day. Thank you so much for this boy. He is the most level headed baby I have ever worked with.”  Sandee

This is a Double son out of the Shezacoolcontinental from 2010.

“I am really enjoying my filly out of Zink and Tuffy from 2009 which I kept her name as Kid and she is registered as KT Sheza Tuff Kid. She has been so easy to work with and super social. I have been saddling her and I have even put a few rides on her now. She’s great. She loads in the horse trailer, she stands tied for hours, and she just trys so hard to make me happy. She has been a great colt. I have attached a few pictures of her for you and she is still in Hamilton, MT. I am still planning on using her for this years RMBA Ranch Horse Comp. in the 2-year old class and eventually make her into a nice break-away rope horse.” Ashely 2011 Update on Kid below: “Kid is doing awesome. I have been riding her all over the ranch here in Montana and down the river bottom. I haven’t gotten a chance to show her yet but I have been using on the ranch to bring cows in and I actually sorted cows on her the other day. I with I had pictures of us sorting but I did attach some of her and I down at the river bottom.”
