With a name like Lovely, she had a reputation to live up to—and we think she’s holding up her end of the deal!
KT Lovely Kat is a striking chestnut yearling with a bold blaze, a pretty head, and a kind eye. She has the presence to catch your attention and the bone, deep body, and strong hip to make you take a closer look.
Born: May 13, 2025
Sire: Midnight Kat DR, “MC”
Dam: KT Stars Go Blue, “Star”
Color: Chestnut
Price: $5,000
Her sire, Midnight Kat DR, brings together proven reining, cutting, and cow horse bloodlines. MC is by Starlight Midnight, an NRHA money-earner, AQHA World Show qualifier in Junior Heeling, and earner of more than 60 AQHA points and an AQHA Register of Merit.
Starlight Midnight is by Grays Starlight, giving Lovely a strong performance foundation. MC’s dam, Slick As A Cat DR, is by Magneticat, a son of Metallic Cat, adding another respected line of cutting genetics.
On the bottom side, Lovely’s dam, Star, is by Just Plain Starlight, “Colonel,” whose pedigree includes Tamalight, Lenas Wright On, and Wright On Sugarnic. Her maternal family also brings in Colonels Reflection, Colonel Freckles, Docs Lynx, and One Gun—a blend of cow horse and ranch breeding with plenty of depth.
Lovely is a prospect for ranch work, roping, cow horse, or ranch versatility, with the pedigree to make her an interesting future broodmare as well. She still has her training and proving ahead of her, but there’s plenty here to build on.
Pretty enough to turn heads and bred for a future beyond posing for pictures—although she certainly makes that part look easy!
