Interesting Monday.

Interesting Monday. Toni was supposed to have to go to court in Ellensburg on Monday and did not have to go. So it was decided the boys needed a haircut before we left on Friday, she had been trying to get them into Tennelle but that had been falling through. So we called around and could not fine anyone to cut two long haired boys hair. Chad texted and said he could fit in a few more trims at the end of the day. Anna and the boys worked on their steers and heifers. Kaine went fishing for a bit with Keegan, and they got stuck, and Anna had to go and pulled them out. She was really impressed. Kade’s girlfriend Abby was out on Monday. While Chad was at the house we had a lightning storm roll up, and sit there, so they only got two trimmed and waited at hr, it was still pouring rain and we had lightening, so Chad rolled home. Anna was working on the Youth Development program paperwork when I got home.

On Tuesday the kid ran the heifers into Sheena to get their travel papers. After that Kade helped Jaxsen with his steers, and he actually led them, so Anna took a picture. Jaxsen says he leads them all the time. He leads Joker all the time, but I do not know about the Angus steers. I think Kade just leads them when he helps since it is faster than having Jaxsen lead them. If Kaine helps him Jaxsen is pretty much on his own, maybe some encouraging words, like don’t let go, I am not helping you catch him. Anna only helps him if he asks, but she makes him lead them. I think that is why Jaxsen normally asks Kade, so Kade will just do it. Whitney is putting grandma house back in order after the new flooring went in, I am sure it is more then just Whitney, but Whitney is the one that sends pics of the treasures she finds. She sent a really nice treasure of mom and a polled Hereford bull. Anna ran over to Egberts and grabbed some barn kittens, we are always looking for barn kittens. After chores Toni, Jaxsen and I put in two more posts on our newest fencing project. Jaxsen was really excited to get started on it.  

On Wednesday Anna took the boys to get haircuts, Toni finally got them into a barber. So Anna ran them in and picked up the travel papers from Sheena. We were told the new haircuts were NOT to be posted. Toni and dad took Jackpot to Ellensburg, he is getting some more riding and then TD Performance Horses will market and sell him. They also picked up cotton seed hulls while we were there and ran across the street to Old Mill. Toni went through the clearance rack and bought the kids some pants for $25, a fur lined vest, hose clamps and more. Ben took the red pickup to work to pick up more feed for the kids on the way home to take on our trip. The men and three older kids started packing the trailer. Toni, Jaxsen and I put the last three posts up the hill, now when we get back from Nebraska we are ready to put up poles. We told Jaxsen he could start with out us, I do not think that is gong to happen.  

On Thursday Toni and mom went and saw grandma. On the way home they stopped and Wilco and got black dye for the heifers, then I called Wilco and ordered more since they only had 2 in stock. The kids continued getting ready and packing for the trip.

On Friday Toni, Anna, Kaine, Kade and I headed for Nebraska. So Friday-Sunday will be with next week so all of the Nebraska trip is together. We left the men, Jaxsen, mom and dad home to hold down the fort and do chores.
