Meet the Mares: Camie

2002 AQHA Sugars Badger Doll, “Camie,”  is a daughter of Star Chex Badger who was a son of Peppy San Badger and earner of $6,450.39 in NCHA earnings and a COA. This mare is a fancy bay roan with Doc Bar on her papers twice as well as Doc’s Malbec, Win or Lose, King Fritz, and is a granddaughter of NCHA cutting  mare Docs Star Chex who earned over $64,000.00 and a ROM. A Pepper Girl is a Dry Spec a Pepper daughter and Dry Doc grand-daughter. A Dry Spec of Pepper was the 1986 Eastern Idaho QH Assn. Senior Cutting Champion. Pepper also goes back to King Fritz, Miss N Cash and Sugar Vandy. She is a mare with a solid build and a great disposition. 2017 Dun filly by Captains Double Coy

KT Teslas Eclipse is a fancy dun filly out of A Tuff Edition and by Captains Double Coy, “Double.” Double is one of our senior stallions, his foals have an outstanding disposition, are easy to break and are really cowy, and are great using horse for any arena. His breeding includes Major Bonanza, Alotta King, Jaguar and more. Tuffy is a very pretty dun mare with lots of chrome. 14.2 hands tall and a combination of cow horse and running horse. Top side is Continental and bottom side is Breeze Bar. She throws chrome and big bone. This filly was born 8/20/17. $2500

Jackpot filly

KT Abbie Get Yo Gun, “Yo,” is out of Charros Dandy Miss, “Pistol,” and by KT Jackpot City. Pistol, has been shown NFQHA, has been featured on the NFQHA rule book and in the NFQHA magazine. She is a great working ranch horse, rope horse, and the kids can ride her as well. Pistol’s sire, Gold Country Charro is a dunskin stallion that was shown in 1998 and 1999 in halter at local shows. KT Jackpot City is out of Lenas Abbie N Charge and is by City Smarts. “Abbie” is a daughter of Smart Like Lena with Mr. Charge Bar on the bottom side. Smart Like Lena is a son of Smart Little Lena and has lifetime earnings of over $89,000.00 a ROM in cutting, and has sired offspring earning over $100,000 in NCHA money. Many people think of Mr. Charge Bar, on Abbie’s bottom side, as a racehorse, which he was, but he also was an NCHA money earner, had 33 AQHA performance points, 11 halter points, and an SI of 75. City Smarts is by An Educated Guess, 385 reining points, and the highest point earning son of Smart Chic Olena. City has a full brother that is a reiner and priced at $13,000. This is a pretty moving filly with tons of ability. Yo was born 7/15/17. We are currently planning on keeping Yo.

“Whim” is our Azteca colt, this swanky, impressive, elegant colt is out of Reeds Poco Ms Whinny and by Denali AK. Denali AK is a 2008 PRE  STALLION, Elegant mover, tall, will be a winner of movements and morphology. He was the 2010 IALHA National Championship. First place (class of 10) NC Andalusian Colts & Under. First Place (class of 7) NC Spanish Colts 2 & Under. His sire Kianto Ami purchased as a foal in 1998 from Pam Hecht of JDON East in Florida. He has turned out to be a great sire of many National champion offspring, giving great power in movement as well as good bone size. His temperament is extraordinary, a calm individual. Reeds Poco Ms Whinny is a dun mare by Reeds Zan Kid out of Reeds Star Magic. Bred by Reed’s Quarter Horses of Rosalia, WA. This mare is 93% NFQHA and goes back to Dustin Command, Zan Parr Bar, Fritz Command, Star Duster, Skippa String, and Page Lee. Whinny is a very pretty mare that is a great combination with many of our stallions. Being 93% NFQHA, bred to any of our stallions she will have NFQHA eligible foals. Whinny has a very strong dun stripe and has not been color tested but has had 11 dun foals, 7 of which were registered as grullos. He was born 4/13/17 and is owned in partnership with Jackass Mountain Ranch. Young Horse Development closes TODAY

Do you know a youth looking to earn scholarships and bolster his or her résumé? If so, you need to tell them about the AQHA Ranching Heritage Young Horse Development Program.

American Quarter Horse Youth Association
members have the opportunity to participate in hands-on horse training that will teach the fundamentals of horsemanship. Then they can showcase their learned skills and knowledge at designated events where they can earn scholarships and prizes through the AQHA Ranching Heritage Young Horse Development Program. This year’s early deadline is August 15.

2017 Red Dun colt

KT Continental Dude is an adorable dun colt out of Continental Piper, “Piper D,” and by KT Heza Pana Dude. Piper D is a daughter of AQHA point earner Continental Cad. Piper D is a stunning red dun mare that has elegance, size, and breeding with Zip It Up as her maternal grandsire and Snipper Reed on her papers. This young mare is heterozygous dun. She is very big and pretty and we are looking forward to seeing what she will produce with the Western Pleasure breeding on her bottom side, mixed with the toughness of the Continental line. Dude is a great stallion that we kept out of Zinks Major Kid. He has some distinctive white markings, and is a very pretty golden color. Great bone, big hip, pretty head and a winning disposition. Dude was started by Jordan Crabtree in Ferndale, WA and he was a great horse to start, Jordan enjoyed riding Dude. This should be a colt with a lot of size and natural thickness. He was born 4/13/17. $2,500.
