Sioux came to us all the way from Texas, and she’s a sweet mare who loves attention. Her name says it all: a little Shine from her sire, A Shiner Named Sioux, and a little Dynamite from her dam’s side. Put them together and you get ShineOMite. 💥
Sire side: Sioux is by the great A Shiner Named Sioux, a son of Shining Spark. He earned $163,934 and 35 AQHA performance points, and he did it in both the reining pen and the cow horse arena:
- 2011 AQHA World Champion, Junior Working Cow Horse
- 2010 AQHA World Champion, Junior Reining
- 3rd, 2010 NRCHA Derby Open
- Top 10, 2009 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity, with the high score in the reined work
- Kalpowar RCH Open Futurity Champion and Champion of the Reined Work
- Kalpowar RCH Open Stallion Stakes Champion
- Finalist in the NRHA Open, Intermediate Open, Limited Open and $50,000 Open Futurities
Two World Championships in two different events, in back-to-back years. That’s not a horse who does one thing well. That’s a horse who does everything well.
Dam side: Sioux’s dam, Trips Ms Dynamite, is by Doc O Dynamite and is a producer of champions.
With a World Champion reining and cow horse sire and Doc O Dynamite on the bottom, Sioux brings the kind of versatile performance blood we love to see in our broodmare band.
