After last weekend’s graduations, birthday parties, and celebrations, this weekend feels a little more like our normal pace—and honestly, that’s not a bad thing.
The agenda looks pretty familiar around here: fencing projects, showing horses, and getting the trailer packed and ready for the next show. Ranch life doesn’t slow down for long.
We also had some concrete poured this week, and Hector is nearly finished with the project. He’s done an outstanding job, and we’re really happy with how everything is turning out. If anyone is looking for quality concrete work, we’d be happy to pass along his number.
Around the family, everyone is staying busy:
Dad has taken on chauffeur duties, hauling Jaxsen to summer weightlifting.
Kaine is working on getting his drive time hours in for his CDL. A big thank you to Mr. Dansie for helping make that happen. He has also been welding up a lot of gates, again thanks Mr Dansie and Mr Palmer.
Kade is balancing a summer class with riding horses, working on his steers and heifers and keeping projects moving forward around the ranch.
Anna is busy with her internship at Ag Health while working on her last year of heifers showing Angus as a Jr and also getting the sale show steers and heifers halter broke.
The days are long, the to-do list never seems to get shorter, and there always seems to be another project waiting around the corner. But that’s summer on the ranch, and we wouldn’t trade it.
Wishing everyone a safe and productive weekend. Enjoy the sunshine, spend time with family, and make a few memories along the way.
Happy Friday from all of us at KT Ranch and Horseshoe Angus!
