As we head into Independence Day weekend, we’re reminded how thankful we are for the freedoms we enjoy, the families we share them with, and the rural way of life we’re blessed to live.
While many people will be celebrating with parades, barbecues, and fireworks, we’ll be doing what we love most—checking horses, feeding cattle, fixing whatever needs fixing, and spending time together on the ranch. Around here, holidays still come with chores, but we wouldn’t trade this life for anything.
This year, we’re especially proud of two outstanding young people in our community. Our neighbor Abril is beginning her journey with the U.S. Navy, and our neighbor Keegan is serving in ROTC as he prepares for his own future of service. Seeing young people step up to serve something bigger than themselves gives us hope for the future, and we couldn’t be prouder of both of them.
We’re also grateful for every man and woman who has served—or is currently serving—in our nation’s Armed Forces. Your sacrifice and dedication make it possible for families like ours to live this ranching life and enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.
Whether you’re spending the weekend at the rodeo, horseback, around the barbecue, or watching fireworks with family and friends, we hope it’s filled with laughter, gratitude, and time with the people who matter most.
From our family at KT Ranch to yours…
Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸
