What a week it’s been around here.
Last weekend was packed full of celebrations and good memories. We celebrated Kaine’s high school graduation, graduation parties, June birthdays. Coco, Shea, and Erina were up for the weekend. Kaine and Cyson’s engagement. It was one of those weekends that reminds you how quickly time passes and how important it is to enjoy the moments along the way.

Back at the ranch, we welcomed our final foal of the season on Saturday, with the last two foals arriving this week. Just like that, another foaling season is officially in the books. It’s always a bittersweet milestone—there’s relief in making it through another successful season, but it’s hard not to miss the anticipation that comes with checking mares every day.

We also had several yearlings head off to their new homes this week. It’s always rewarding to receive updates and see them settling in well with their new families.

One of the highlights of the week was getting to spend time with McKenna during her annual Strawberry Market visit. Strawberry season may have wrapped up at Lovejoy’s, but raspberry season is just getting started.

Kade is wrapping up his final week before summer at CBC—although with a summer class on the schedule, “summer break” might be a bit of a stretch.
Toni has been putting some rides on her 4-year-old mare, Holly, and making good progress. Meanwhile, we’ve been busy hand breeding mares to Cal, keeping the breeding season moving along.

As one chapter closes with foaling season, another continues with riding, breeding, hay season around the corner, oh yea, our hay is down, your welcome for the rain. All the summer projects that ranch life brings.
Have a great week, everyone!
