Finally Friday

Friday means one thing this time of year—showing foals.

The weeks are spent keeping everything going, but the weekends are when people come out, walk through the pens, and start picking out their next one.

There’s nothing better than watching someone find that foal that just clicks—the one that meets you at the gate, carries the right look, and has the kind of mind you can build on.

We enjoy visiting with everyone, talking pedigrees, and helping match good horses with good people.

That’s what Fridays turn into this time of year—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Thursday Thoughts

Good horses aren’t made overnight.
They’re built one ride, one mile, and one lesson at a time.

The same goes for a good program—patience, consistency, and a whole lot of getting back on.

Working Dog Wednesday – Leo

Don’t let the size fool you… Leo the mini poodle is convinced he’s running the whole outfit.

Around here, Leo wears a lot of hats:
✔️ Mouse catcher (and very proud of it)
✔️ Pickup rider (seat secured, no negotiations)
✔️ Cow sorter (in his mind, anyway )

He’s also the proud father of Patch and Doodle the Poodle, passing along his confidence, personality, and strong belief that he is, in fact… a big dog.

Leo might not weigh much, but he brings 100% effort, 110% attitude, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting around the ranch.

We’re not saying he runs the place…
…but we’re also not saying he doesn’t

Finally Friday… Time to Gear Up

Most folks are slowing down for the weekend…
but around here, we’re just getting started.

Friday means it’s time to pick up the pace—
more cattle to check, more horses to work,
and a to-do list that somehow doubled overnight.

The horses are fresh, the cows are testing fences,
and everyone’s acting like they’ve got weekend plans of their own.

No punching out early here—
just tightening cinches, filling fuel tanks,
and getting ready for a couple full days of doing what we do.

Because on this ranch…
the weekend isn’t for resting—it’s for getting after it.
