With Pink Cadillac for a dam and MyLittleRedPorche in the family tree, naming her Tesla seemed fitting. This model runs on hay, though, and the only charging station she needs is a feed bunk.
Memphis is one of those mares that reminds us why we enjoy raising our own. She brings together generations of ranch horses, proven performance bloodlines, and a disposition that makes her enjoyable to be around.
Born: July 3, 2021
Sire: Doll Docsan, “Leroy”
Dam: KT Pink Cadillac, “Pinky”
Color: Dun
Her dam, Pinky, is a big, attractive daughter of Captains Double Coy and MyLittleRedPorche. Toni showed her in halter and in-hand trail as a weanling and yearling at local and NFQHA shows before Pinky went to work on the ranch. She has been a dependable mare, with a pedigree combining cow and running blood through names like Coys Bonanza, Major King, and Sugar Bars.
Memphis is by our late stallion, Doll Docsan, “Leroy.” Leroy was an exceptionally smooth-moving horse with a huge stop, natural athleticism, and a quiet, trainable mind. We appreciated his talent, but his disposition—and his ability to pass it along—made him especially valuable to our program.
Leroy’s offspring have proven themselves in multiple disciplines, including NRHA competition and Western Dressage. His sire, Dolls Union Jac, adds another generation of successful performance breeding.
Memphis carries several generations of horses we have raised, used, and believed in. That history means a lot to us. We know the horses behind her pedigree, remember their personalities, and see pieces of them carrying forward.
She’s a lovely dun mare with deep ranch roots and plenty of possibility ahead. Around here, that’s our kind of horsepower.
