We’re gearing up for another great weekend, with a number of foals heading to their new homes. Most of the show steers have already gone to their new families, too. It’s exciting seeing everyone head off to their home—even if their departure doesn’t seem to make the chore list much shorter!
Anna and McCall are getting ready to head to the NILE in a few weeks, where Tommy Jo and McKenna will join them. Ben may go, too, depending on the harvest schedule.
Once they’re back, we’ll be off to Western Showcase! We’re only taking heifers this time, so we’ll be there Friday night and Saturday. A shorter trip, but somehow I doubt the packing list will get any smaller.
If you’re still looking for a show heifer or steer, don’t forget about the Evergreen Exclusive Angus and Club Calf Sale at the end of this month in Ellensburg! I talked with Jonathan at the Othello Fair, and he said he’s saved some nice steers to take. It’s a great opportunity to find your next show project!
Have a great weekend, everyone! Here’s hoping for smooth pickups, productive harvest days, and a little time to enjoy it all.
