KT Shining in Hollywood is Toni’s pick for her next riding horse! Toni has been working with her in the evenings, and we’re excited to watch this beautiful young mare develop.
Her dam, A Little Shadie Chic, “Shadie,” certainly outdid herself with this one. Shadie had a successful show career in NRHA competition, earning the 2006 Region One Reserve Regional Experience Reining title along with multiple points. She later continued taking young riders into the show ring before retiring to the broodmare band.
Shadie is a daughter of Comandalena, an earner of more than $143,000 and 260.5 AQHA points. On the bottom side, she is a granddaughter of A Little Shady Jac, an earner of $17,715.86 in NRHA competition along with AQHA points. Her papers also include Doc Tom Tucker, Hollywood Jac 86, Fritz Command, and Smart Little Lena.
Her sire, KT King of Blue, “King,” is by Shining Blue DR, “Bish,” and out of KT Copper Queen Isabelle, “Izzy.”
Bish is a good-looking son of Autumnator, who is by the legendary Smart Little Lena—an NCHA Triple Crown Open Champion and earner of $743,275. Autumnator’s dam, Autumn Boon, earned $244,470 in NCHA competition and produced 17 performers with earnings exceeding $1 million.
Bish’s dam, Plum Sparkling, is by Shining Sparkler, a gorgeous palomino son of the influential reining and reined cow-horse sire Shining Spark.
With reining, cutting, and cow-horse talent stacked throughout her pedigree, KT Shining in Hollywood has plenty of ability behind her. Add her buckskin-roan color and Toni’s steady evening work, and she should make one outstanding ranch and riding horse.
