The weekend is finally here, and we’re loading up for the Sagebrush Classic in Colfax! We hope to see lots of familiar faces there.
This year is a little different for us. When the kids were younger, we’d pack up, stay all weekend, and make a mini vacation out of every cattle show. These days everyone has jobs, internships, harvest, or other responsibilities, so we’ll just be making the trip over for the day. It’s a reminder of how quickly kids grow up. While we miss those long weekends together at the fairgrounds, we’re proud to watch them balance work, school, and still make time to do what they love.
This show is especially meaningful as it’s Anna’s final year showing as a junior and we have been going to Sagebrush since the kids were peewees. It’s hard to believe how fast the years have gone, and we’re looking forward to making the most of every show along the way.
Best of luck to all of the exhibitors this weekend! Whether you’re showing cattle, cheering from the sidelines, or just stopping by to visit, we hope everyone has a safe trip, enjoys some great competition, learns something new, and makes memories with family and friends.
