This one hurts.
We lost Watch Miss ID, “Twiggy,” today. We went out to check and found her gone. No warning, just one of those hard, unfair moments that come with this life.
Twiggy was a good mare — the kind you count on. Quiet, kind, and did her job without ever asking for anything in return. The kind that leaves a hole when they’re gone.
Her colt is safe. We got him in and are working on grafting him onto Annie. Hoping she steps up and takes him on — that’s the next chapter, and right now that’s where our focus is. Yes, that is his dad Tank comforting him. Tank is a special guy.
This lifestyle gives us a lot of good days… but days like today remind us how tough it can be.
