2017 Foals

KT Major King Felix is our first baby of the year, and is out of one of our favorite mares KT Copper Queen Cleo. He is a fancy buckskin colt by KT Heza Pana Dude. Cleo was out of our first foal crop out of Docs Sizzle Bar. Her dam was our good all-around horse Copper Queen Robin. Cleo bowed her tendon as a weanling, but we were able to put some rides on her as a 2 year old. She has been a super horse to have around, and has really produced some cow eating foals. Dude is a great stallion that we kept out of Zinks Major Kid. He has some unique white markings, and is a very pretty golden color. Great bone, big hip, pretty head and a winning disposition. Dude was started by Jordan Crabtree in Ferndale, WA and he was a great horse to start, Jordan enjoyed riding Dude. This is the fourth foal from this combination and we have been very pleased with them all. They will be outstanding cow and ranch horses. This is a great colt with a lot of personality. KT Gunners Cuttin Cupid was born on Valentines Day and is out of KT Cow Cuttin Hottie and by KT Gunpowder N Lead. Hottie is by Cow Cuttin Colonel and out KT Copper Doc Comet. Cow Cuttin Colonel is a major contender in the cow horse industry. Piper is a daughter of AQHA point earner Cue Bars Laddie and NRCHA and AQHA cowhorse and cutting mare Cutters Tourist Trap. This is a mare with a superior pedigree, with point earners and working cow horses all over. This is a pretty, feminine, bay filly. NFQHA eligible.Dude is a great stallion that we kept out of Zinks Major Kid. He has some unique white markings, and is a very pretty golden color. LOVE this colt, KT Gunners 38 Special is out of KT Copper Doc Comet and is by KT Gunpowder N Lead. Comet is out of Copper Robin Queen, an awesome all-around mare that was used as a ranch horse, roping horse, barrel horse, shown 4H, if you wanted to do it, she could do it. She was one of our all time favorite mares and we have kept all of her daughters. Comet’s sire is Docs Sizzle Bar, who is by Sizzle Hot, AQHA H-19/P-29; AQHA Champion, Arena ROM; World Champion Sire, ROM Sire, AQHA Champion Sire, Superior Sire, Youth Supreme Champion Sire. Docs Sizzle Bar’s dam, Shenandoll, was also an AQHA Champion. Comet is a huge mare that we showed for awhile and really enjoyed. She has 3 white socks and a white splash over her eye. KT Colonel Rimfire is a charming colt out of Plain Dark Choclet, “Rudy,” and KT Gunpowder N Lead. Rudy was shown back in her prime. She is a daughter of Just Plain Colonel, Earner of $52,676. He was a money-earner at the Tropicana 4-Year-Old Open Futurity, at five and six, 1989 PCCHA Open Challenge-5th, 1989 Gold & Silver 5/6-Year-Old Open Stakes-7th, 1988 Reno Western Open Classic-4th.1988 Bonanza Open Classic, 1989 PCCHA Open Top Ten He was a finalist at the 1988 PCCHA Open Tournament of Champions. KT Starlight Sheriff is a striking palomino colt is out of Sheriffsredpinedoll, Twist, and by Just Plain Starlight, Colonel. Twist is by The Sheriff Dunit, a proven producer and performer, NRHA Earnings of over $3500, 2007 AQHA Hi Pt Sr Reining-8th, AQHA ROM Open and Amateur Reining, 51 AQHA Pts. He is sired by Hollywood Dun it. Her dam, Headin for Hollywood, is also a money winner and is by the great Great Red Pine (Great Pine x Nifty Jodieann x Nifty Bee), who was bred by Brenda Glassford, Galena, Ohio, earned $60,952 during a successful career during which he was shown by Larry Rose for Frank Caruso to third place at the 1991 Congress Futurity and fourth place at the 1991 NRHA Futurity. He was later shown by Albert Burton to win the Limited Open and place second in the Open at the 1992 NRHA Superstakes, win the Limited Open and place fourth in the Open at the 1992 Carolina Classic Derby, and place fifth in the Limited Open at the 1992 NRHA Derby. “Whim” is our Azteca colt, this swanky, impressive, elegant colt is out of Reeds Poco Ms Whinny and by Denali AK. Denali AK is a 2008 PRE  STALLION, Elegant mover, tall, will be a winner of movements and morphology. He was the 2010 IALHA National Championship. First place (class of 10) NC Andalusian Colts & Under. First Place (class of 7) NC Spanish Colts 2 & Under. His sire Kianto Ami purchased as a foal in 1998 from Pam Hecht of JDON East in Florida. He has turned out to be a great sire of many National champion offspring, giving great power in movement as well as good bone size. His temperament is extraordinary, a calm individual. Reeds Poco Ms Whinny is a dun mare by Reeds Zan Kid out of Reeds Star Magic. Bred by Reed’s Quarter Horses of Rosalia, WA. KT A Benelli Girl is a showy buckskin filly is out of A Pepper Girl and by KT Gunpowder N Lead. Pepper is a Dry Spec a Pepper daughter, who was the 1986 Eastern Idaho QH Assn. Senior Cutting Champion. She is a granddaughter of Dry Doc; who is in the National Cutting Horse Association – Horse Hall of Fame. KT Jackpot City is out of Lenas Abbie N Charge and is by City Smarts. “Abbie” is a daughter of Smart Like Lena with Mr. Charge Bar on the bottom side. Smart Like Lena is a son of Smart Little Lena and has lifetime earnings of over $89,000.00 a ROM in cutting, and has sired offspring earning over $100,000 in NCHA money. Many people think of Mr. Charge Bar, on Abbie’s bottom side, as a racehorse, which he was, but he also was an NCHA money earner, had 33 AQHA performance points, 11 halter points, and an SI of 75. City Smarts is by An Educated Guess, 385 reining points, and the highest point earning son of Smart Chic Olena. City has a full brother that is a reiner and priced at $13,000.
