2017 Foals

KT Smoke N Gun, “Smokey,” is out of Continental Bux Tuff, ‘Tuffy G,” and by KT Gunpowder N Lead. Tuffy G is a grullo daughter of Tikis Major Bux, who was out of Gentleman Tiki. Tuffy G is a granddaughter of A Tuff Continental on the bottom side with Mexicalli Copper and High Smoke on the bottom as well. Tuffy G is color tested Ee, aa, DD. This is a really nice, big boned older mare that carries the breeding that we love. These are really tough, good ranch horses that hold up in rough country and can move. And she is pretty. Tuffy G is one of the prettiest grullo mares around. Gunner is a roan dunskin son of Cue Bars Laddie, AQHA point earning and producing stallion. Gunner’s dam, Pistol, has been shown NFQHA, has been featured on rule book and in the NFQHA magazine. She is a great working ranch horse, rope horse, and the kids can ride her as well. Pistol’s sire, Gold Country Charro is a dunskin stallion that was shown in 1998 and 1999 in halter at local shows. We are very excited to see how this colt turns out. He has an extraordinary pedigree and is built to move. He is a very pretty colt without any white. He is color tested as a Grullo roan and 5 panel N/N. Smokey’s mom died when he was a few days old and he was a bottle baby. He was born 3/30/2017. $3500

KT Gunners Stunner is a smoky black filly, that is a full sister to KT Gun in a Million. She is by KT Gunpowder N Lead and out of Wright on Sugarnic, “Stinger.”‘ This filly is bred to the hilt, her dam, Wright On Sugarinic (Stinger) Won Pro division of the Cascade Cutters Futurity and is an own daughter of Lenas Wright On. Her dam, Just Plain Sugari has NCHA earnings of $111.31 and is an AQHA point earner. She is a granddaughter of Smart Little Mesa, Slide Me Again and Just Plain Colonel, who are all money and pt earners. She is also the dam of our Stallion, Just Plain Starlight. Top side, this filly is out of KT Gunpowder N Lead (Gunner) is a son of Cue Bars Laddie. Cue Bars Laddie is a roan stallion that has been shown as a reiner, cowhorse and rope horse. He was the recipient of the Open AQHA All Around Trophy and is a CCHA Hall of Fame Horse. Gunner is out of Charros Dandy Miss (Pistol) who was shown NFQHA and local shows. Great cow horse/ranch horse/rope horse. Homozygous for black mane and tail, and a dunskin. Gunner has greats on his papers like Peppy San, Doc O’Lena, Dandy Derby, Docs Jack Frost, and Imperial One. Gunner took the best of both and is a dunskin roan. Broke to ride in the Allison Trimble program and a very nice stallion. This filly is going to be a fantastic prospect and has the eye catching color. She was born 4/17/17. $3,000

KT DynaMight Pistol is a cute buckskin filly was born on the first day of spring. She is out of KT Wright on Dyna and is by KT Gunpowder N Lead. Dyna is a 2010 mare out of Dregers Harley Tucker, a daughter of Dry Doc Chex (NCHA money earner), out of a Doc Tom Tucker/King Fritz mare. Dyna is by Just Plain Starlight, “Colonel.” Harly was shown in cutting and is owned by Wagner Performance Horses of Wilbur, WA. Harley has been used for ranch work, been roped off of, used to doctor calves, and the kids can rider her too! This mare’s pedigree is full of cutting/performance horses. Gunner is a roan dunskin son of Cue Bars Laddie, AQHA point earning and producing stallion. Gunner’s dam, Pistol, has been shown NFQHA, has been featured on rule book and in the NFQHA magazine. She is a great working ranch horse, rope horse, and the kids can ride her as well. Pistol’s sire, Gold Country Charro is a dunskin stallion that was shown in 1998 and 1999 in halter at local shows. This filly is bred to really perform and have a sensible mind. We would really like to keep this filly, and she has been on and off the keep list a couple of times. But, we just have too many and alreayd have 4 we are keeping from 2017. She was born 5/30/17. $2,000

“Whim” is our Azteca colt, this swanky, impressive, elegant colt is out of Reeds Poco Ms Whinny and by Denali AK. Denali AK is a 2008 PRE  STALLION, Elegant mover, tall, will be a winner of movements and morphology. He was the 2010 IALHA National Championship. First place (class of 10) NC Andalusian Colts & Under. First Place (class of 7) NC Spanish Colts 2 & Under. His sire Kianto Ami purchased as a foal in 1998 from Pam Hecht of JDON East in Florida. He has turned out to be a great sire of many National champion offspring, giving great power in movement as well as good bone size. His temperament is extraordinary, a calm individual. Reeds Poco Ms Whinny is a dun mare by Reeds Zan Kid out of Reeds Star Magic. Bred by Reed’s Quarter Horses of Rosalia, WA. This mare is 93% NFQHA and goes back to Dustin Command, Zan Parr Bar, Fritz Command, Star Duster, Skippa String, and Page Lee. Whinny is a very pretty mare that is a great combination with many of our stallions. Being 93% NFQHA, bred to any of our stallions she will have NFQHA eligible foals. Whinny has a very strong dun stripe and has not been color tested but has had 11 dun foals, 7 of which were registered as grullos. He was born 4/13/17 and is owned in partnership with Jackass Mountain Ranch.
